
RESEARCH LABORATORY ON ECONOMIC POLICY AND PRODUCTIVE DEVELOPMENT
The Economic Policy and Productive Development Research Laboratory – LAPED was created in April 2022. LAPED conducts research in the areas of Macroeconomics and Economic Development, with specialization in the areas of industrial, agricultural and service economics.
Composed of experienced researchers, LAPED develops research relevant to economic policy and productive development, including analysis of government policies, investment in infrastructure, promotion of technological innovation, income distribution and environmental issues.
The research group's general objective is to understand the mechanisms that drive sustainable economic growth, innovation and the improvement of society's living conditions.
Through quantitative and qualitative approaches, the methodologies used include theoretical analysis, economic modeling and empirical analysis.
The research results support public policy decision-making, contribute to academic debate and provide important insights for the public and private sectors and non-governmental organizations. In addition, LAPED promotes the dissemination of knowledge through seminars, conferences and publications in renowned academic journals.
